WELCOME TO CHOOSE KIND YYC
ABOUT CHOOSE KIND YYC
Choose Kind YYC is a group of parent volunteers based in Calgary, with a strong desire to spread the message of kindness. Our mission is to raise awareness and support for child and adolescent mental health initiatives at the Alberta Children's Hospital, through the sales of BE KIND Shirts for Pink Shirt Day. More information about programming and supports for Youth Mental Health can be found at www.buildthemup.ca.

Pink Shirt Day is a call to action to be kind to one another, to stand up to bullying, and to treat one another with respect and compassion - EVERY DAY.

The Summit: Marian & Jim Sinneave Centre for Youth Resilience marks an important step forward in mental health care for children and youth in Calgary, and was made possible thanks to generous community support through the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.

The Summit is located in the beautiful northwest Calgary neighbourhood of Hounsfield Heights and is easily accessible by bus, LRT and vehicle, with onsite parking available. Its design was significantly informed by young people and families whose insight helped shape the look and feel of this first-of-its-kind space, wholly dedicated to and purpose-built for them.

It's three new services augment and integrate with the overall continuum of care currently provided through the AHS Child & Adolescent Addiction, Mental Health and Psychiatry Program (CAAMHPP) and other important community agencies, and provides families with greater access to timely assessments, intervention and therapy.
